TRA and Length of visa application

HELP! What is TRA? and we are at the beginning of the visa and medical application process and wondered how long it is possibly going to take as we need to put our house on the market but fear we may sell too early or too late.

 

Also, i'm a nurse and understand i have to have a skills assessment by the anmc but have also read you have to do the same agian within the state/territory that you apply for a job - is this true?

 

We are applying for the independent migrant visa, both our jobs are on the demand list and i currently have enough points however, my husband is ten points short - can he apply as my spouse on my application?

 

Sorry for all the questions but I am a little confused despite regular surfing of numerous websites.
