Guest manrug
This is my first post and I would like to thank all those knowledgeable people who share their experiences and provide guidance to newbies like me. I have just completed form 47pa and form 80 for my wife and myself which I will submit along with 47pa. I am slightly confused about form 47a. I have 2 sons. One is settled in OZ and the other who lives the UK. Both of my boys are independent with families of their own. I was under the impression that I do not have to fo form 47a because both of my son's are not dependent on me. Can some one please clarify this for me. xeiter
Hi, I was wondering if you ended up getting your question answered? I am in a similar situation and have exactly the same questions. Kind regards, Anton
Bonnie Thurecht
Hello There, I am registered migration agent specialising in Australian migration law. Form 47A is only if your children are under 18 or dependent on you. Since this is not the case you do not need to fill in this form. You will however need your Australian based son to fill in the sponsor form for your application.

Hi Bonnie, In this case, who should I fill in for Part H - members of the family unit ages 18 years or over -question 55? Because it says ‘each member of the family unit aged 18 years or over listed in question 55 must also complete a form 47A’ thank you
