Account with a UK resident as a joint holder

6 posts in this topic

Hi,

My Mum is starting to come out to Oz on a more frequent basis since the passing of her husband with a view to eventually emigrating as I am her only child.

To this end she wants to open an account here that she can transfer funds to from her UK account and be able to use when she is here. She will for now be coming on a visitors visa.

Is this possible either in her own right or with me (Australian Citizen) as a joint account holder?

Thanks as always :)

Hi,

It will be advised for your Mum to visit one of our branches upon her arrival into Australia, as our online application will not accept the visitor visa. The branch will be able to assist you with all your queries and best advise you of your individual financial needs.

All the best on your travels.

Regards,

This is the NAB area of the forum. Non NAB replies will be removed. If the OP (or anyone else) wishes to ask something of the general forum they can post in Money & Finance. TIA

All sorted with the help of a very helpful young lady in the Gungahlin branch.
