Question about 190 visa (state sponsership application )

Dears,

 

I had received an invitation to apply for Queensland sponsorship for 190 visa

and one of the questions in the application is

 

Intended residential city in Queensland and postcode ?

 

But i didn't decided yet which city

 

so what is the best ... is to leave it blank or to put any city name ?

I would guess you can put any city in as long as it is in Queensland. It says "Intended" only which means you can change your mind.

States are increasingly looking for some kind of evidence that you are serious about living there so I definitely wouldn't leave it blank as that suggests you are actually just after a visa and would be prepared to live anywhere to get it.

 

You must have some inclination of where you'd want to be? It's a vast state with hugely different climates and terrains. Have you narrowed it down to a region? I would be tempted to then choose the largest city in that region.

 

This is pure speculation but regional (rural) areas have the greatest need of people so choosing a rural area may increase your chances but the risk is they offer you a visa that only allows you to work in regional areas for the first 4 years and ties you to Queensland
