CeeJayKav
Halo all Advise please i am looking to move to Australia. I am a nurse in the UK. I've just passed my IELTS exam and was wondering what the next process would be between the APHRA registration and ANMAC skills assessment. Would appreciate your assistance CeeJayKav
hkfnesta2003
ANMAC requires you to show nurse license approved by APHRA in order to finish the process of ANMAC. So you'd better apply both of them simultaneously to shorten time.
Sarahnurse
Hey - New to this but looking to move to Australia to Nurse on a skilled visa, I also have 2 years experience. I have my English test booked for a weeks time. Once you passed this did you do the ANMAC skilled Assessment an the APHRA application at the same time? Trying to do the process on my own to save a lot of money. Regards sarah

CeeJayKav
Unfortunately ended up applying for ANMAC and APHRA a month apart. I had difficulties with obtaining references on time. Surprisingly my ANMAC has already been approved (5 weeks it took), still waiting for APHRA to respond.
xxlornaxx
You don't need ahpra to get anmac and once you get ahpra registration you have three months to present in person in Aus or registration isn't complete and gets cancelled so do ahpra last unless you intend to leave very soon

I received my ASMIRT accreditation (ANMAC equivalent) a month after I applied. AHPRA took near enough 3 months, and yes, it's no longer 1 year to present, but 3 months: I give you one guess as to what I'm doing at Manchester Airport today...
