Jack bland
Hello, I am applying for a 186 visa, I have been in Australia for 3 years and I have had my work nomination approved. I am currently getting together the documents for my personal application however on the checklist it says I need a birth certificate with my parents names on. I have my original birth certificate however the names of my parents are not included on it. Will this cause an issue? Has anyone had a similar situation? Guest
You appear to have the short form. You need to get a full birth certificate naming your parents. Its pretty straightforward to do so.

Usually is but at this point in our process my husband found out he was adopted and could only get his full birth certificate by going in person to Liverpool (where he was born). Tickled Pink
Unless you have a different situation (like stated above) you can order a full certificate online. Mine took about 3 weeks to arrive. You'll need it for both the 186 and citizenship.
