Indianinoz
Hello, My dad is 55 years old. We are applying a contributory parent visa for him. He wants to work in the banking industry or under a fianancial planner/CA. He didn't complete his CA when he was young but was half way through it. My brother has his own practice in their country in Asia and my dad has been helping him along for more than 5 years now without real consideration. His english is also very good. So officially he cannot show any experience but is willing to do any short term course like RG-146 or whatever. Do you think he can land up a job at this age without having any official prior experience in this field? Any suggestions would be welcome. Parley
Unlikely I am afraid to say.
rammygirl
Won't be easy without the appropriate qualifications. Best chance will be through your contacts or local Asian community here I would think. Start asking around on his behalf. Where are you?

Probably, planning to settle in Noosa, Sunshine Coast maybe in a couple of years if not earlier.

A move to Noosa is going to make things even harder for your dad than it already was.

Like RG-146 and say even ADFP? Is it difficult to start a career in this country at this stage even when you have the required qualification? GetMeDownUnder
Getting a job at 55 is hard. Getting a job with new qualifications is hard. Getting a job in a new country is hard. Combining all those things makes it very hard
flag of convenience
I would agree with the above. Perhaps better to occupy oneself with a small business of sorts?
