AlistairJ
Hey Guys, I was wondering if you could help me. I applied for my second working holiday in Australia and when my first working holiday visa finished immigration put me on a bridging visa A till a decision was made on my WHM2. I then applied for a BVB visa which would allow me to travel as my cousin got sick in Thailand and I had to visit her. I left Australia though before my BVB had been granted. I am now in Thailand and have received an email from Australian Immigration saying my Bridging visa A has been voided as I left the country and therefore also my BVB application has been cancelled. Also they said my WHM2 visa decision is now on hold until I return to Australia. They said that I will need to organise a different visa in order to return to the country and for the process of my WHM2 to continue. So I have applied for a tourist visa but I am still waiting on that decision now, maybe this was a mistake? So I'm in a bit of a mess as I have a return flight books to Australia for the 5th October. Could you guys please advise me on what visa I should apply for in order to be able to return to Australia and continue with my WHM2. Thank you in advance Yours Faithfully Alistair Jones Sent from my iPhone
MaggieMay24
As you've learned, a BVA will be cancelled when you leave Australia and a BVB cannot be granted while you are outside Australia. All you can do is hope the tourist visa is approved before October 5th, otherwise you'll need to change your flight until your visa is granted.
