Visitor visa subclass 600 granted to parents a year ago but they won't be able to come

Hi all,

 

I wonder if anyone has similar situation. My Parents were planning to visit us last year. So, we applied for visitor visa subclass 600. They were granted visa expiring on December 2016. Unfortunately, we had medical emergency in the family, because of which they had to travel and stay in USA. They can't come to Australia until February 2017. This means that their visa will expire before they make their first entry in Australia. Will there be any issue because of this, if we apply for their Visa on February 2017 again? Or is there anything that we can do to or inform immigration about the situation before their visa expires?
