work after ending a 457 visa

Just wondering if I were terminate my employment with the 457 sponsoring company, would I be able to work for 90 days as a casual employer for a different company in a different role?

 

2 examples I can think or might be

 

1 - whilst looking for a new job, could I just do some casual work to pay the bills until finding a new sponsor in the timeframe of 90 days or would my first job have to be with a new sponsoring company?

 

or

 

2 - If I decide to leave Oz before finishing the 457 contract, could I leave my job and spend 90 days working casually before leaving the country?

no you can only work for the employer that sponsors you unless your 457 is taken over by another sponsor.

No and no. You may only work for your sponsor.

And don't forget that your employer should pay your return fare should you fail to find something else within the time period
