Leaving Australia

Hey there fellow backpackers.

Can I with a working holiday visa enter Australia, leave it and return on the same visa?

Or is it cancelled if I leave the country?

I thought you could leave and re-enter Aus as many times as you wished as long as the visa is still valid

• stay in Australia for up to 12 months
  
• work in Australia, generally for up to six months with each employer
  
• study for up to four months
  
• leave and re-enter Australia any number of times while the visa is valid.

I didnt word it as well as i wanted. What i mean is theres been some people who leave for months but somehow think they can get those months back or apply for a new visa. You can leave as many times as you want

You have a years WHV you can enter and leave Australia as many times as you like in that year. So if you decide to go to Australia for 1 month and then go off to Thailand for 11 months you won't be able to use that WHV.

 

However don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure if you go to Australia and do the farm work for 88 days and then go to thailand for lets say 9 months you should qualify for a 2nd year visa even if you have been out the country for 10 months. Can someone confirm whether i am right or wrong?
