northshorepom
Saw this linked this morning, thought it might be of some use. It helps establish the geography a bit if nothing else for potential new arrivals: http://www.huffingtonpost.com.au/2016/01/27/rent-cost-sydney-melbourne-brisbane_n_9093036.html?utm_hp_ref=australia
flag of convenience
Rents in the principle cities within Australia are a disaster in the making.
Guest
Bit confused by this.. Ascot cheaper than Deagon? Woodridge more expensive than Chelmer?
northshorepom
Info originally came from flatmates.com.au. I suspect it's just them doing a mean of the flatshares they had advertised at any point in time. No idea how many data points there might have been per station/suburb identified So it will have some flaws, like all property data. I don't see much awry in the Sydney map, but I would expect it to be more accurate in areas where more flatsharing goes on - so from the Sydney PoV, that really means the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, Parramatta, South Sydney round Botany Bay, Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches. Out in the outer suburbs (Upper North Shore, Shire, rest of South Sydney, South West, North West, most of the West) then I would expect it to be of less use
