Quite reasonable here (which is why we don't live on the mainland ). It did reach 34C here in Hobart yesterday but a substantial cool change came through shortly after midday and maximum temperatures today and forecast for the the next week are in the 20 - 25 range. The fires that have sprung up elsewhere were caused by lightning strikes. No rain either. They seem to be in fairly isolated areas. We had rain the other night so this area had a good soaking. Will know definitely if buyers can get a mortgage by end of Febearly March and completion end of April. Have no idea whether a unit will be available when I want and no idea when furniture will arrive. Haven't settled on a shipping company yet but am close. With luck will be moving near Launceston and in order to fit everything in have had to downsize quite ruthlessly but at my age it matters not and I'm looking forward to a another chapter in my life with tears in between of course as am missing my husband so much. I am so fortunate to have had a friend in Tassie who has helped me enormously and without her I wouldn't have done it. She has never met me so indeed she is a human being in a million. There are spot fires in quite a few place now - not near us. Today was a lot cooler and we had a bit of drizzle this evening which was a relief. Yesterday was really warm with no breeze at all. 29 but seemed warmer than that. The scenery isn't as dramatic as the Highlands of Scotland but parts of the north coast remind me very much of the SW of Scotland where I come from.
