The weather in Devonport Tasmania today

We lived in the bush in Victoria in a place called Lal Lal so I know what you mean when you talk about possums and other hungry little devils.  The

parrots ate every bit of fruit we ever managed to grow but we used to leave carrots for the kangaroos and wallabies and it sure was a delight to see and

hear them crunching away at night.  Not too keen on the variety of snakes though.  Wasn't sorry to leave them behind.

23-26 would be ideal for me.  Do you get extreme changes in one day like Melbourne?

This is a guide to Devonport's annual weather pattern.  Devonport has an oceanic climate with mild to warm summers, cool and moist winters.  Most days from January to March are pleasantly warm, averaging 19 to 24 °C with frequent sunshine. The warmest and driest days can occasionally reach up to 28C - 30C.  It is different in other parts of Tasmania.  Some parts much warmer and others cooler.  Today it is 27C with a cloudless blue sky.

Do you have lovely farmers markets up north?l

I was quite disappointed with the farmers market I went to and I've not been back since.  I buy my fruit and veg straight off farms - nicer and far cheaper - either that or the local fruit and veggie shop.  I also grow a few bits and pieces of my own produce.

Buying direct from producer even better and it's good to know you can.  I do enjoy the atmosphere of a market though but of course France

survives on it's markets so a different culture.  Some of them are wonderful and I enjoy the buzz.  Sitting in a nice square having a coffee and

people watching is another enjoyable pastime.  However, if we do manage to come to Tas will accept what it has to offer and be happy.  After

all we've spent the last 13 years enjoying France and a new scene will be interesting in our dotage.
