A380-worth paying extra for?

Well there is a major difference when it comes to the 777.

Etihad - 10 seats per row, same as their A380, but the A380 main cabin is over 2 feet wider!

Emirates - 10 seats per row, same as their A380

Singapore - 9 seats per row

it really does depend on which 777 you fly on. (I think all 787 are awful)

I flew with Qatar as they used 777x9. Over the course of our booking each and every one was replaced with a 777x10. These planes are horrible. Like the 787 there really isn't enough room. You're bumping elbows with the person next to you, and I had a real problem with the woman next to me.

The a380 on the other hand was lovely. New and spacious. But be warned, I have heard they are bringing in a a380x11.

My flights in April are with Emirates are all on a380x10 and they were all cheap.

Last time I went by myself was in Nov, and I had 777x10 on Emirates, but I had four seats to myself. That was lovely. Slept the whole way. I'd recommend that if you can. But you constantly need to check your seats as they are forever putting someone next to you.
