JockinTas
Looks like the weather at the spring racing carnival is a bit on the wet side. Send some of your rain down here please. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/springracing/article-3304603/Oaks-Day-2015-kicks-colourful-punters.html
Suzukiscottie
A couple of thunderstorms came through early-mid afternoon. Hail, torrential rain like stair rods, a few mini tornado's reported in the media too. Typically though, straight after, sunshine and dry roads 20 mins later. Lambethlad
It's 10am and already 32 degrees so I'm going to Bunnings to buy a water sprinkler to leave on in the garden. I hate finding birds or possums dead or dying from the heat.

Lambethlad
Relief. Where I am 40 kms south its starting to cloud over and the temperature has dropped a few degrees. I don't think it will make 41 degrees here.
Petkula73
Horrible last night and we've now had the aircon on for four days straight. Been out this morning to the city centre and it's sweltering still. Roll on the cool change tomorrow!
Parley
Cool change coming through around lunch time today. Can't wait. Like an oven outside.

silverchair
Hello! We're planning a 2 week trip to melbourne in March - any idea what the weather is usually like? I wanna plan clothes! i know rain is unpredictable, we we'll definitely bring umbrellas, but other than that, dresses or shorts? light sweatshirt or thicker jacket? capris or jeans? open footwear or closed? hats or sunnies? Input welcome!!!!
Ken
Average daily maximum in March is 24 degrees. But that doesn't tell you much. The maximum temperature might be 34 degrees on one day and 17 degrees the next (no exaggeration it does change that quickly). Those are the maximums - it does get cooler at night (average minimum in March is 13 degrees but again that's just the average and it will fluctuate).
