Perthbum 5,693 Posted April 9, 2015 Really nice photo, would have been better if it had been a deserted beach Drinking rum before 11am does not make you an alcoholic, it makes you pirate..
Perthbum 5,693 Posted April 9, 2015 I like this, it's not perfect but I like it. Did you take this shot? Yes, just on my daily walk with the dog and thought it looked good. HappyHeart 12,137 Posted April 9, 2015 Good but better if taken looking down the beach, I find beach shots are best if face on or side on

Guest Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) One of my other half's - he won a competition with this one, the sky is a bit over-processed I think though. It's the Falkirk Wheel in case people don't know, a unique boat lift between two canals. Edited April 9, 2015 by Lady Rainicorn

Guest Bora Posted April 9, 2015 I loved polpero too.. not made my mind wether to go back to cornwall this year or go abroad... Its actually cheeper to go abroad Spain or FRANCE I'm not sure either, as much as we love it down there we've done it a few times in recent years. However my boys mate at School, his parents have a stunning holiday let in Widemouth Bay that we can use for a one-r for 2 nights in the summer hols. Probably do that, or Lake District. Its actually cheeper to go abroad Spain or FRANCE Well we are going abroad this year............................ to Cornwall! staying just outside Padstow for 4 days will be fitting in most of the little North coast ports and villages. Will be getting into Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire (sons wedding) and Yorkshire (see me Mam) too. we will also be going abroad aboard the Eurostar to Belgium for a few days too. So may post some photos later in the year. Enjoying life in Queensland

Thom 279 Posted April 10, 2015 I cannot like that, as I find the "sport" an abomination. A photo of the matador being gored would win high praise. all my eye and Betty Martin.

With all the wonderful costumes and amazing colours, I find bull fighting abhorrent.

A photo of the matador being gored would win high praise. ......I appreciate your comment.......though at the time was unaware the event would go beyond ..... ......tercio de varas,....... ......and I left before.......the tercio de banderillas,..........it was part of a culture in a country I was visiting... .......not one I agree with......tbh ........but as I had been taken.......to what I thought was .......just the...."dance"........I did the photo.... ........this thread about advice on improvement......... ........not ethical or personal feeling ........I posted it..... .........to me it summed up the wrong of taunting an animal...one so huge and powerful.......the arrogance of the matador..... .........so constructive criticism on the photo........ .........would be appreciated.......tink X ...........edited to add.......There is much to dislike at the corrida – .............and many of you will be disgusted by this photo...... ...............there is no glory in much of the treatment of these dumb animals. .................But there is also much to like at such events....... ...................the costumes.......the colours......... ....................that you will see nowhere else........ .....................and hopefully in the near future......the killing of the bull......will be an abomination left in the past......!
