Recommended Posts

I'm glad somebody understood what I was saying! Pissed or not...give that man a big hand!

And I'm glad that somebody understood the point I was (trying to make) when pissed......................I don't make much sense when sober :-)

The point being made by HH is that "selective" adherence to whatever holy book that takes your fancy is no adherence at all........................Fundamentalism is fundamentalism....................be it Jewish, moslem, or Christian..................we can interpret how we so wish to suit our agenda.....................the tragedy is...................that the apolegists always take the path of least resistance..................they will acknowledge the "flaws"...............make excuses as to why and wherefore that particular circumstance has arisen (in the current climate) but never acknowledge or address why that circumstance has arisen in an historical and (future devastating) circmstance................am I making sense? doubt it?...............pissed again but sober enough to know that no amount of debate with some PIO zealots will ever make an impression.................I hate to say this but as an ex "lefty" I realise now, why, with the "in your face" debating skills of some (I won't mention them) I was persuaded to "give up the fight" and let the "bludgers" sort themsleves out. Never thought I'd admit it but as far as the "left' goes on this forum, harpo would put you to shame...............get real...............it's not about you but about "the people" the left seems to take things so personal?

What you drinking? can you get it in the UK?

Drinking rum before 11am does not make you an alcoholic, it makes you pirate..

[h=1]Most of 29 arrests at Dudley march opposed EDL[/h]

fancy that!!

Police said five out of the 29 people arrested were supporters of the far-right EDL. But the rest were counter protesters, including supporters of the group Unite Against Fascism.

Officers arrested the people for breaching the peace during the protests on February 7 in the town centre. Most were released without charge.

Around 50 members of Unite Against Fascism held a counter-protest in Castle Street while EDL protesters gathered outside the council house on Priory Road after marching from King Street, where a 45-minute demonstration was held.

The breakdown on the arrests was confirmed by West Midlands Police following a Freedom of Information request.

The force drafted in hundreds of extra officers from as far away as Wales to deal with the threat on the day. Policing the event cost taxpayers £321,000.

Hundreds of officers from across the country were called in as more than 600 members of the far right organisation descended on the town.
