Far right marchers massively outnumbered in Newcastle

Recommended Posts

Nice to see the good folk of Newcastle letting these numpties know that they aren't welcome - outnumbered by more than 5 to 1 by counter protest.

My oh was there. He said it was an amazing turn out. Fights broke out, but only between different factions within the Pegida lot.

On the Pegida side? Predominantly fat, knuckle dragging white blokes with no necks, apparently.

Im sure there were some privileged white kids on the other side - they're allowed to be intelligent too, you know?

The real story here is that mass immigration from third world countries has become a large pile of kindling under the people and the fascists are the spark.

For someone with a PhD I'm amazed you'd still use a term that has been out of use for at least 20 years in academic circles.

I'll leave your grasp of the finer points of immigration from developing countries out of it to save you further embarrassment

In PIO circles, we are still allowed to use un-pc terms.

When you do PhD work you learn to question everything, including conventional terminology. I presume you're objecting to the term "third world" which the Leftists have tried to airbrush out of our vocabulary, in that way they do n order to change people's perceptions. The term "developing world" applies to so few countries in the third world. as many are collapsing, I prefer not to use it for reasons of accuracy. I know Marxists have no problem describing a country that is collapsing as "developing" for dogmatic reasons of thought control, but as a free thinker I like the words I use actually to describe their referents.

Hmm, a good question. As a Hobbesian I have found the more negative my prediction of a human event, the more accurate it turns out to be. Is that really paranoia? After all, the rise of the far right in Europe is real and well documented. We are creating a lethal cocktail in our societies by filling them with Muslims on the one side and far right people on the other. Definitely do not think it is paranoia to say this is not going to end well!

Well I guess when they are paying your wages it's only right you back them eh?

People on here are always saying paranoia but just look at the facts and how the Muslim population is growing as fast as it is.... maybe not in our lifetime but probably our kids will have to live by Islam laws if it keeps going in the direction it is now. I'm no racist but its obvious what is happening most of the country haven't just dreamt it up it's there for all to see.

but anyway you keep knocking them mosques up mucka you never know your kids and grand kids might use it one day

This could have been penned thirty or forty years ago when paranoia remained high long before Muslims became fashionable to hate.

Definitely nothing new. If anything the Right have faltered. In France the FN have moderated policy in Germany the Far Right have failed to take off as have else where in Europe. In Greece the far left take over power, with Spanish left growing in strength to maybe put up a feasible challenge to government in the forth coming elections. Even in Newcastle, a city hardly noted for its diversity had many times more anti fascists than far righters in attendance.

Rather contrary to what you suggest and a good deal of tabloid paranoia influence apparent here. Muslims are not the blame to peoples feeling of angst these days. Although plenty want to make it so to take the guys of the real issues revolving around a faltering economic system.

It should be like so much I fear the value of a PhD to have devalued as it becomes over subscribed in the educational conveyor belt economic focused education.

I think we need to clarify that there is a distinction between hating Muslims and objecting to Islam and its religious law. The two are very different and I would prefer it if they were not conflated with reference to me, thanks.

I have no idea what your reading material is but I rarely look at the broadsheets and never read tabloids, ever. When I choose to look at the news I read sites like Reuters or Bloomberg for the main, and my political opinions are formed by the study of political philosophy from Plato up, but focusing more on modern stuff like Hobbes. The rise of the far right is visible everywhere, even in Sweden, and will become more apparent as the Muslim populations grow across Europe. It's ABC stuff.

I enjoy your audacious and often injudicious posts, but nothing is more wonderful than someone criticizing someone else's achievements out of unadulterated envy. Keep it up!

I raised how common it is a PhD these days. Sorry if you felt it was a slight on a personal achievement it was unintended just as I'm sure you were in no way attempting to suggest intellectual superiority by means of being in possible possession of such. Glad we are straight on that. In truth though personal achievements I personally would not be revealing personal information, unless somehow related to the subject on hand, on a Forum, as it is the content of argument surely to provoke or find accord rather than bragging about personal achievements to which few would care about anyway.
