However I understand this code is not under SOL and I cant apply for Subclass 189 category visa. I really would like to apply under this category and I understand Network and Systems Engineer (263111) falls under this. I would like to check if I could review my skill assesment under this catagory via ACS. Below are the responsibilties based on service letters. Pardon the long list. Please advise based on the list if Im eligible to be nominated under 263111. Thanks Company A Deploy, Configure, Upgrade and, administer HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, Redhat/SUSE/Ubuntu Linux, Microsoft Windows Servers as well as troubleshoot related issues. Deployment and Configuration of various client –server packages across servers running HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, Redhat/SUSE/Ubuntu Linux, Microsoft Windows Server such as Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, Radius, Splunk etc. Perform OS Hardening, Audit Checks and Patch Management of HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, Redhat/SUSE/Ubuntu Linux, Microsoft Windows, and VMWARE vSphere Servers. Perform OS Level backups such as Ignite/ Tar on HPUX/Linux and NT Backup/ Acronis on Windows Servers. Deployment configuration and administration of Backup applications such as HP Data Protector, Symantec NetBackup, Simpana Commvault including configuration of application level backup for SAP, Oracle, SQL, DB2, Exchange, Lotus Notes, VMWARE, Hyper-V, SharePoint, EADR, HP Data protector ZDB (Zero Downtime Backup) and ensure successful timely backups/restores are in place and meeting required service level agreements. Deployment and Configuration of Veritas Storage Foundation, Symantec Enterprise Vault, Symantec Discovery Accelerator, Storage Works Storage Mirroring (SWSM), HP Business Services Management (BSM), Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP). Deployment and Configuration of virtualization platforms such as VMWARE vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, XEN, KVM. Deployment, Configuration and Migration of Microsoft Exchange (2003, 2007, 2010), MSSQL servers. Liaise with other external vendors to setup hardware and software services and ensure the service level agreements are met via conducting UATs (User Acceptance Tests). Implement BASH Scripting, VUGEN Scripting, MySQL scripting to automate tasks. SAN (3par)/ iSCSI/ NAS (EMC/Netapp), VLS/D2D, storage configuration and administration. Design, Present and Conduct POC (Proof of Concept) of applications such as HP Data Protector, Symantec Netbackup, Veritas Storage Foundation, Symantec Enterprise Vault, E- Discovery (Discovery Accelerator), VMWARE vSphere, HP BSM, SWSM and High Availability solutions. Analyze and understand the existing environment and plan for system enhancements such as software/hardware upgrades for servers running critical applications, databases etc. Project Management- Plan infrastructure and project timelines and ensure timely completion of projects and tasks. Preparation and maintenance of system documentation. Company B Provide 24/7 local and remote support for all production critical servers running manufacturing applications such as MES Plus, Tibco Rendezvous, MCS etc. and ensure uninterrupted operation. Troubleshoot various infrastructure related issues and resolve them on a timely manner to ensure smooth operations. Setup server/storage/ SAN (Brocade/ Cisco Director) infrastructure and administration. Install and configure operating systems (SUSE, CentOS, SUN-Oracle Solaris, SUN LDOMs), administration and daily operations to run critical manufacturing related applications and Databases. Ensure correct security policies are in place for the operating systems according to Wacker Global Infrastructure standards. Performance tuning such as kernel parameter tuning on various Linux and Unix Operating systems. Configure and test high availability solutions on Linux/Unix (Pacemaker, Sun Cluster). Shell scripting to automate tasks on Linux and Unix operating systems. Install and Configure monitoring (Check MK/Nagios/Orca/Sun Management Center/ Sun Common Array Manager/SmokePing/ HP Systems Insight Manager) on servers/storages/switches for errors and performance bottlenecks. Configuration of notification alerts (Email/SMS) to respective owners in Check MK/Nagios. Configuration, LUN provisioning and administration on NetApp Metro Clusters, Oracle-SUN, IBM and Fujitsu and Janus Storages. Performance monitoring of entire infrastructure related storages (NetApp On Command Operations Manager etc.). Configuration of various redundant storage mirroring technologies (LVM Mirroring, Software (MD RAID) Mirroring). Configuration of various volume managers, LVM, VxVM, ASM, ZFS etc. Ensure timely backup are in place and perform restores upon request in case of any disaster recovery scenarios using EMC Networker. Liaise with external vendors and German counterparts (Wacker) to setup hardware and software services and ensure the service level agreements are met via conducting UATs (User Acceptance Tests). Track and Renew software and hardware contracts and licenses with external suppliers annually. Project Management- Plan infrastructure and project timelines and ensure timely completion of projects (MES Plus) and tasks. Server, application and connectivity asset tracking, incident tickets and service request management using IBM Maximo. Maintenance and update of Company Intranet sites and applications. Preparation and maintenance of system documentation.
