457 Visa granted this morning!

applied 22/11/16 (off shore)

Medical requested same day completed the following day,

Visa granted 28/11/16

all completed in 4 business days, pretty pleased with that! now the hard work of organizing the move starts for real!

Good luck and hope everyone else waiting to hear does so soon!

Congratulations.

I am very similar, my visa was lodged on 23rd November and approved this morning for both myself and my girlfriend who has also received a 457 defacto visa.

We are going to NSW

No medicals or request for information fortunately.

I hope everyone else who is playing the waiting game hears soon, I was advised 6-8 weeks only two weeks ago.

So they answered in 28 mins, and advised me that there hasn't been any further updates since I sent in the additional docs that were requested a few months ago. He advised I am ok to work until April on my current visa and just hold tight and wait for them to process the application.

I must say the guy who i spoke to was very polite and helpful. So 65 working days since the RFI and I will just wait some more.

Has anyone had their 457 issued this week?

I'm now at 7 weeks + 1 day.

LR, off shore decision ready application. .

I had my 457 issued, as above. It took 5 days from submitting to issue for myself and defacto.

I have no idea what the logic behind it being so quick but my employer had a MA pushing for it to be priority.

Hope you hear soon

Hi there.

The exposure from medical chest xrays is limited and the potential adverse effects are often over stated.

Furthermore, the risks of the xray to the feoutus are reduced with a chest xray (compared to an abdominal xray) and a sheild =ing mechanism is often used for pregnant women to prevent unessecary radiation from getting to the feoutus.

What i'm suggesting is that you look in to the limited risks of chest xray exposure yourself with your wife before deciding to delay the xray.

My understanding is that case officers will look at RFI cases after 28 days - and it may take longer if you suply the xray after this date.
