My oldest friend's grandchildren walking on the local beach at low tide at Easter.  This beach is 2 miles from where I was brought up in Scotland.

found this little gem yesterday.  It was p-ing down with rain but I just had to stop and take a pic.  Tucked just a stone's throw from the new Elephant park (the old Haygate estate, Elephant & Castle) What a contrast to the new mass produced boxes built to fulfill the programme of mass populating London.

There are 100s of these type of mews houses in London but they are usually in more affluent areas. Next door was an old tenement block of a similar period that was equally as charming.  You could see it was loved and well kept by the caretakers and residents.  I just think that our town planners and architects need to rethink their strategy on the future of london.

My current role is major defects up to 12 years from completion and I know all there is about building quality and my nearly 130 year old victorian house is holding up 100 times better than anything built in the last 10 years.

Hubby spilt a bit of his tea on his desk. No manipulation it honestly looked like a map of Australia. Even when dry. He still hasn’t cleaned it up!
