Partner Visa 309 Subclass. Timeline Question

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am British and my girlfriend Australian. We applied online for the 309/100 visa on 7th February. All police checks, medicals etc completed. Was just wondering what timeframe people had been given if applying for similar visa? We got told 8 to 9 months when we first got our caseworker, but looking at the automated reply when emailing the case worker it says 10 to 14 months?

Rather than bother the caseworker I thought I would ask the question here. I did search around, but couldn't find anyone in a similar application time as us.

Thanks

Visa 309/100 Defacto. Applied online 07/02/2014. Email from caseworker 11/03/2014, same time asked for Health and Police checks to be done after 07/05/2014. New caseworker 14/07/2014, all docs in order. Visa granted 20/10/2014. Landed Sydney 21/10/2014

Time frame for new applicants has increased very recently to 10-14 months.

Applications lodged back in Feb are still on the timeframe you were given back then. 8-9 months.

CO are not given to emailing much and only contact you if they need to or when granting visa. I'd not worry, you sound on course.

Thanks

Also, how do I add the dates of my application to the signature like other users? Can't seem to find the option.

Go to Settings (top right) and then left sidebar, Edit signature.

Keep it standard text and over as few a lines as possible. Not a new line for each stage as that gets too big. Thanks :)
