Sydney Socials 2014

Recommended Posts

Hi folks

A few of us have made plans to meet next Sunday 13th July 2014 at 2.30pm for coffee and cake. Location is currently undecided but it will be somewhere central and I will post more details later in the week. Let me know if you are free and fancy coming along - the more the merrier!

A little about me - I am early 30s and arrived in Sydney in March this year from London. It was a bit of a shock to the system and took me a couple of months to settle but I love it now. I'm here for a year on my working holiday visa so would love to meet some new people to start making the most of my time out here.

Have a lovely weekend and hope to meet some of you next Sunday!

Hi folks

George, yes it's a mixed group, just looking to build a group of open-minded, friendly people.

Fruitgum and Tracey - will definitely post something when we sort the next outing - nothing arranged yet but hopefully drinks somewhere central in a few weeks.

Enjoy your trip back home Tracey!

Anyone - if you want to join on sunday then if you PM me I can give you my no. in case you can't find us.

I can't make this meet up on Sunday, but would be really keen to pop along to any future gatherings.

I moved to Sydney a couple of months ago on a partner visa. My husband is originally a Sydneysider but has been in the UK for most of the last 10 years, so we're both keen to get out and about and meet some friendly folk.

Cheers.

Shame I didn't join this forum sooner as we would have come to the meet up. Are there any other plans afoot?

We are a young 40 something couple with children all grown up and have a limited friendship group due to work commitments etc...! Would love to meet others for a good old chat and a laugh. We live near Penrith and have done for 10 years.

Hope to hear from you soon and look forward to some meet ups!

Hi Guys I'm also new to Sydney and looking for friends to meet to socialise with.

I recently move over from Perth and have no friends here.

I'm a 30 year old male originally from Manchester, who likes sport having a beer etc.

Diving miss Daisy.... I been in Aussie 3 years now and the family thing is huge, I think you will constantly struggle but hopefully they will visit and you will learn to deal with it

Hi Mel,

Yeh I'm in Drummonye great spot about 15 mins from the city.

There is a nice pub right across the road from me.

If you or anybody else wana meet up then messsage me.

Hopefully we can get a few people who are in the same scenerio.

It sucks sometimes doing stuff alone.

Hi all,

I've also just moved to Sydney (working holiday visa) and looking to meet some friendly new folk. I'm a 31-year-old guy from Manchester and I'm hoping to soak up as many random experiences as possible (bring on the Elvis festival!).

If you good people want to meet up for a drink some time, I'm in!

Happy new year!

That sounds great, there's obviously a few of us in the same boat; so why don't we set a date and a time for a few drinks and see what pans out.

I've been here 10 months, l had a couple of friend for the first six months then they got all loved up, barely see them now, so l know what you're saying Northern, Xmas and New Year sucks when all your friends are on the other side of the world.

I'm in Cremorne on the Northshore, 10 mins from Circular Quay...l'm up for suggestions.

Happy New Year to all by the way.

Hi Paula & Jay and everyone else on this thread,

Thanks for the reply, we seem to have a start of a potential hook-up with hopefully new friends to be. I'm really easy going regarding location, to me Newtown's as good as anywhere to start, it's always buzzin.

So, who's-in, when and where?

Joe
