Lindor 3,927 Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) I had the best afternoon! Went for a walk and ended up on Heirisson Island. I came across a gate with a warning sign about kangaroos, I didn't know there were kangaroos on the island! I was too scared to go in but as I walked alongside the fencing, I saw a woman in there, when she came out I asked her about the kangaroos and she said they were just lying around and weren't bothered by people, so in I went! It's a lovely place with great views of the city and South Perth. I walked around and saw my first 'wild' kangaroos up a small bank, I kept my distance and took some photos then carried on walking around. Then I saw a couple close to a standing kangaroo, as I walked up there was a woman on her own. She told me she'd been stroking the 2 that were lying down, she was saying go on it will be fine, so I slowly moved toward one and stroked it!! It just lay there, I was thrilled to bits!!!
