189 visa April gang

Hi all,

I can't seem to find a April 189 group so I thought I would start one. I'm no expert in the visa application process and I'm new to this site, so any help, suggestions, advice and general comments are very welcome and I hope all your visa applications run smooth.

Hi Alonsd,

I am also planning to file the visa shortly. I got an invite last month.

Could you please tell me which all docs need to be uploaded and when to be uploaded?

As of no, I can see only the details to be filled in in the immi account, no details of attachment yet.

Also I would like to know when to do the payment, can I do it from debit card also ?

Many thanks.

Hi,

like I said I'm no expert but I do know you can only upload your docs once you have completed the 17 page online form and paid for the visa. Once this is done there will be a button that allows you to attach docs.

you can pay for it with debit card as far as i am aware.

the docs we have submitted are:

passports

qualifications with transcripts

skills assessments

IELTS results

birth certs

medicals

we are currently waiting on our PCC and I think you also have to complete a form 80 but not sure about that.

Exciting times ahead...........

Looking forward to hearing from those of you who are now skint.

Only one more hungry night! It's payday tomorrow. I can feed the family again, until flights and freight need to be paid for... Hopefully it will all be worth it in a month or so it seems like people who submitted their visa applications on March started getting grants today. Who knows we may have that elusive grant letter by the end of May...

Hi All,

it is good to see that we have a special thread for April,14 applicants. I have submitted my application for ACS on 23rd April. It has been received by them on 26th April and yesterday it was showing at status 4 with assessor . So any idea how long it is going to take further to get my ACS approval? Please share your experience with me. I am from India and I am working in IT industry for 5 years. I have done my B.Tech in Computer sc & engg.

I think it takes around 8 weeks for approval but the timeframe differs from the various assessing authorities.

Not sure about that, it might be worth asking the question on a different thread or starting a new one. Have you looked for a thread specific to 2611-ICT Business and Systems Analysts application?

I know that you do get migration experts on here so one of them would be your best form of help.

  • 2 weeks later...
We submitted our application 10 April. Specialist report currently being drafted for existing medical condition - booking medicals in the next week or so. Good luck everyone!

Hope all goes well with your medicals. Have you had any contact from a CO yet? it's 4 weeks tomorrow for us and still no contact but we have only just uploaded our PPC today. Hopefully thats all documentation complete now...

Thanks! Our agent hasn't advised we have a CO yet, apparently tho the CO's have 2 weeks to let you know they have started on your case, so we could have one...just not know yet. We also sent through Form 80 to our agent this morning. So it's just medicals now. Good luck to you too Alonsd (ps you are only down the road in St Helens - we're in Warrington LOL! This forum is a small world...!!)

Yeah small old world, we actually live in Newton-Le-Willows so even closer! Are you having your medicals at Bridgewater hospital Manchester? We had ours there and they were very good.

We also got our CO this morning Brisbane team 33. They asked for a form 80 which we hadn't done so got that to look forward to this weekend. Looks like things could be moving forward for all the April bunch now!!

Hello All,

We also lodged our application in late April.

I saw in another thread people from May are getting COs, I have a feeling the more documents we frontload the later we will get to know our CO.

We might have all been allocated COs and we just do not know it yet.

Good Luck to you All.

Yes, some ppl who front load only hear something when they get their visa grant! So likely we all have CO's by now and they're just cracking on with it. We may only hear from them if there's something outstanding (or in our case not at all, they will liaise with our agent in Sydney!)

Wish every one of you in the April gang swift success :)
