Need a single private room in Sydney

Recommended Posts

Hi. I will be arriving in Sydney on May 3rd. I need a single private furnished room for not more than $150 including electricity, gas, water, internet and washing machine. I have no location preference as long as it is in Sydney. Please help me find one such room. I am looking forward to staying for at least 12 weeks. Thanks.

I think gumtree has adverts for house shares.

I have sent messages to many on Gumtree, but didn't get any replies. May be because I'm still in Bangladesh?

Maybe book into a hostel for the first week or two, then you can look around for somewhere.

Quite possibly. Book some accommodation commercially (hotel or hostel) for when you arrive.

It might be an idea to post an advert on Sydney's Gumtree site with your photo. Anything can happen in a week!

There's a nice quiet hostel in Potts Point (close to the city) called the Blue Parrot www.blueparrot.com.au . It was renovated a year or two ago. It could be an option in case you get stuck. Coogee Beach also has a good choice of hostels and the buses into the city run frequently.

Good luck ;-)

Thanks very much guys! Yeah, a hostel for a few nights sounds like a wise solution.
