mottymollynippy Posted March 4, 2014 Share Posted March 4, 2014 hi Could do with some advice , our 3 westies had their rabies vac on 31/01/2014 and we took them for the blood test on 20/02/2014 ,we had a call yesterday from our vets , 2 have passed 1 has failed... the vet nurse was not sure what to do next and is calling me back today... What would your advice be will he need another rabies vac. then wait another 3 weeks to do the bloods or should we get the bloods re-done asap on the hope there are enough anti-bodies in his system now but its coming up to 5 weeks since he had his rabies vac. BobPetairUK Posted March 4, 2014 Share Posted March 4, 2014 Hey it is normal for one in 20 dogs to "fail" the blood test first time round. Another vaccine and another blood test is the way to go.
