Need some advice please

Hi all, my name is Laura from Scotland.

 

I hope someone can help me with this. I am currently on the working holiday 417 visa and I am now into my 7th month here in Canberra. I have been lucky and have found a job working for a trucking company which is part of Volvo as a sales/service advisor. By the time my visa comes to an end in May I will have worked for the company for 5 months. They have said they will sponsor me however I cannot see the job role within the skill select area on the Immi.gov website. Does this mean I cannot get sponsored even if the company is willing to? I am so confused by all of this. Any advice from someone who has been sponsored or has any information would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the csol - but there are other conditions that also must be met ie salary.

It's all still very unclear. My partner is Australian that's why I really don't want to go home when my visa runs out. May have to go down the route of an agent to get the best advice

It's very clear. If your job is not on the sol or csol then you have no chance of sponsorship no matter how much you or they want it. It's when it is on the sol or csol that it gets more complicated, as then you have to make sure you have enough qualifications and experience.

 

You may be able to stay if your partner is Australian. Do you live together? If so how long? Are you in a state where you can register your relationship?
