We are building a house in Narangba and hope to move in next month. My mother in law has lived there for years and loves it there so it will be great to be 5 mins away in the car. The new station is great and there will be more trains from next week and it is an ideal location to be near everything. It's not too far away from North Lakes, the new Costco, Ikea and Bunnings, Sunny Coast, Morayfield out of town stores. There's a massive swimming pool, loads of sports facilities, all of the supermarkets together at Burpengary (Coles, Woolies and Aldi). The pizza place in Narangba village does the best pizzas I've ever eaten. It seems to me that its like living in the countryside but having all of the advantages of a city on your doorstep.

No offence but why the fascination with North Lakes? So many people on this forum loooove North Lakes, if you want to live in a rabbit hutch, enjoy.

Sorry rant over.......

Arrived 10th August....loving it

Hi, we moved here last week, we are in the Oaks Aurora in Brisbane for a month. We looked a lot at Narangba before we left the UK and yesterday we drove up there and looked at several houses. The feel of the place was great and everyone that we spoke to was very posative and friendly. We stopped in Aspley on the way home and on speaking to someone there she said that Narangba was full of single mothers and was a rough area. This sort of blew us away a bit as it's not the impression we got, but we do need to get this house move right first time. We spoke to an estate agent in Narangba, and she told us that there isn't really any areas of Narangba to avoid. Any more advice would be much appreciated.

Narangba is ok in the newer estates. Shoot a pm to PIO member Generalis who has two young kids, and she will clue you up. She was renting in bracken Ridge but found that she could get more for her money in narangba. Her shusband works in the city and finds the train commute fine.

We've lived in Narangba for 3 years now and are very happy here. It has a great rural feel to it yet we're a short distance to Westfield North Lakes, Costco and lots of other amenities. Narangba has a newly refurbished train station, plus fantastic access to the highway (quicker often to get onto highway from here than NL). It's handy for trips up the coast on the weekend and has some great private and public schools in the area.

Here's what we have on our Facebook page as the great aspects of living here:

NARANGBA LIVING:

• 10 minutes North of Westfield north lakes, as well as Costco

• Train station

• 40 minutes away from the closest surf Beach at Bribie Island

• Good schools

• Lots of bike and walking trails and various parks

• Supermarkets, butcher, Post Office, chemists, bakeries

• About 40 minutes from Sunshine Coast

• Close to bayside suburbs such as Redcliffe, Sandgate, Shorncliffe

• Acreage and residential size blocks available

• coffee shop, newsagents, a variety of takeaway places, family friendly Tavern

• good schools, car wash, gyms, several doctors surgeries, dentists, library, daycare centre

• Lots of tree lined streets

The pizza's here really ARE the best!! And the sausages from the local butcher have won awards too.

You get more space for your money than NL, there's acreage properties, new estates and older estates with gorgeous Queenslanders.

If you have any more questions, please fire away!

We moved to Narangba on Saturday and so far it is like a small village or town. We were only in Petrie so not far away but so far so good.

Hi, We went there on the train yesterday. As Bog & Bear said it was just under an hour. We were slightly delayed because we were stuck behind another service but only for a couple of minutes at a couple of stops. it was 55mins from Central to Narangba.
