Due to its proximity to Canberra properties in the Queanbeyan area are also listed however Queanbeyan is part of NSW rather than the ACT. http://www.allhomes.com.au/ah/act/rent-residential Hope that helps a bit. sunniecat Posted January 1, 2014 Share Posted January 1, 2014 That cost of living link is pretty good I also made sure to compare the cost of living (it's HIGH) to my expected income, to make it clear that although it costs us a lot more comparatively to live here than it did in the UK, we are also paid better and therefore better off overall... good luck! Or if you can manage to get your hands on on a Sydney one, it is comparable. What we did is to we made a spreadsheet of our expenses in the UK and looked up the items on these websites. Plug it in. So it is your best personal interest to spend time on this and make a BUDGET you will also use when you arrive in Canberra. Most people make the mistake of underestimating these costs.
