Nick84 10 Posted November 3, 2013 Hi all by trade I am a qualified electrician but I also have a Foundation Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Are Foundation Degrees recognised? If not, do they recognise levels? As in my apprenticeship was to NVQ level 3, the foundation degree is equivalent to level 4 and 5. I think a batchelors degree is a level 6. Thanks Nick
LukeM 480 Posted November 4, 2013 I believe the Foundation Degree is considered the equivalent to a Diploma. Don't quote me on that, I saw it posted somewhere else on here. I don't know how it would be received if mentioned to an employer. Somebody else on here may have prior experience. If not, always worth a Google or try contacting a tertiary admissions centre in Australia. They're bound to either know or be able to advise you further. What were you planning to do? Further study, or is it more to do with employment? "Is that Luke... as in Luke Skywalker?" | Brisbane, Australia since August 2010

Eera 317 Posted November 4, 2013 They have these things called associate degrees which were diplomas in old money. Engineers Australia will be able to tell you if it's considered equivilent insta #tabradders Fine art landscape and portrait photography. And occasionally fannying around with ultra-macro when I should be working.
