Im panicing now as I dont know what to say or not to say on friday. Are we likely to be refused? any advise please

I am of no use to you, for information. However, I am off for my medical soon, so know how nerve-wracking it can all get. I shall be keeping everything crossed for you, and do please let us know how you get on.

I don't want to be accused of giving false hope, but I am aware of lots of other people who have passed their medicals with far worse things than skin conditions.... x x x

hi just want to give you some hope, we went through the same feeling our daughter suffers from juvenile arthritis and at the time of our medicals her medication was really expensive we felt sick going through the process people tell you not to worry but easier said than done, anyway we need not have we all sailed through our medicals and our little girl didnt have to do anything different than the rest of us she was fine so try not to think about it to much it really isnt worth worrying about you will be fine we have our visa but are still undecided on what to do or where to go but what is meant to be will be , so good luck and please try not to worry. x

Hi guys.

know exactly how you feel,we are panicking too,as our son has severe brittle asthma, and now has to have the xolair injection every two weeks, indefinitely,at a specialised hospital two hours from where we live.the drug is very expensive on the nhs costing roughly 20,000 ayear for the treatment,it is not on the pbs in oz,and it has to be specially done, sent emails off to the asthma foundation in oz,but still waiting for them to get in touch with us,as we dont know what to do now,it is just a waiting game for us.good luck to everyone going through the process.

Hi, we had the childrens med done last week, we were advised by our agent to take all medical history paperwork for our daughter, (she had med issues) which the doctor copied and sent on with the med forms, so just a suggestion, take all you have with you it can't do any harm. Good luck with your process.

Oh my God, Nic! That's awful. You poor things. My eldest son has asthma, as does my third but nothing like that. Asthma is horrible, and you must have been through the mill, on several occasions.

I am keeping everything crossed for you... and hoping that, as he gets older, things will improve enormously, and that treatments will too.

Sending love and hugs to you all - especially your little man

thank you everyone for your replys and support, its so nice to speak to others in a similar boat..Its come as a bit of a shock. sods law i should have had the medicals done first..

At the moment the only treatment she needs is sunlight!! so im hoping that will go in our favour. Im just worried that the people whoever they are who look at our reports do not exclude us for any future treatment she may need in the future.

Hello Andy

Welcome to Poms in Oz.

Since the Prospective Marriage Visa is only a temporary visa, it doesn't seem that the meds would involve anything more than an x-ray unless you intend to enter a classroom or healthcare environment in Oz.

Hi i have a condition that will ultimately get worse as i get older , i also take daily medication. I took all my speciaist letters and reports to the panel Dr with me and when everything was submitted i was asked to go and see a panel specialist for a brief examination ,it wasnt anything to worry about and we were granted the visa ok. Try not to worry although in your shoes i was a nervous wreck! lol

Good Luck

icon9.png helpppp:(

I have my flight booked for the 18th October and have just been told that my results have been referred to MOC, visa first would give no details as to what is wrong with my results which has my family and friends really concerned. I am going to have to postphone my flight and all my plans and the thing i am panicing about the most is that visa first told me that i might have to wait 6months for a reply and i might never get it!

Im devastated, i quit my job and everything. I was told that all my medical results were clear by euromedic dublin and my friends had all booked their flights so i thought it would be ok to book mine. I never anticipated this to happen and i feel hopeless as there is no one that can reassure me that my application will be assessed soon.
