Any tips on best hostels in Perth & also regional work opportunities as I am hoping to extend my whv for another 12 months. I'm an athletic guy who loves his sports especially football, always good for the laugh and getting a bit boozy with the lads & girls. lauradarlin Posted September 10, 2013 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Freo's a pretty friendly place to start. I had a lot of friends staying in hostels there semi long term and loved it. You can still get to the city easily whenever you like. Regional work counts if you get just outside of Perth, ie, any part of WA other than Perth CBD and suburbs you can count as regional (do check the postcode tho!) i did my regional work through helpx - voluntary but a fab experience.
