Useful links for skilled migration

First stop for anyone thinking of skilled migration is the Skill Select area of the (DIAC) immigration website:

There are two skilled occupation lists, the SOL and the CSOL. If your occupation is on the SOL you can apply for any of the skilled migrant visas and employer sponsored visas. If the occupation is only on the CSOL then employer or state sponsorship is required as well:

To find the points test, click on any of the skilled migrant visas and you will see a "point test" tab, the points test is the same so it doesn't matter which visa you are looking at:

Most people will need to take an IELTS test to have enough points to pass the test, to read about the IELTS test, find a test centre and organise a test see below:

If the occupation is only on the CSOL, then state sponsorship might be required, below are links to the state sponsored occupation lists, these need to be checked one at a time.
