PJ was barking again last night; reason was this bandicoot again, looking for fallen mangoes to eat.

A couple of encounters of the close kind...First was when I was clearing up a big clump of calathea plants, 3 huntsmen spiders ran across my hand then, as I was taking them to the weed bed I stepped on a snake, luckily it was a common keelback. Still, it gave me a moment, or two.

 

A common keelback, harmless and about 60 cm long.

Just found this little dude when I was checking me water tanks, reckon I have around 20 of them around the place and in the gutters and around the water tanks Noisy buggers when it rains, gotta love em but.

How do you manage to capture them on camera they are always too fast for me, just like the Ulysses butterfly
