457 timescales???

Recommended Posts

Guest Kathy&Niall

Hi everyone,

We sent our x-rays off on the 5th Feb by "signed for airmail". The Royal Mail website will only track until they enter Aus. We are checking every day on the immi website to see whether they have marked our status to "received medicals" and still nothing. Has anyone had a similar experience and do you know roughly how long it may take from this point to get the go ahead.

Thanks

[Your Feedback

hi Kathy

Follow this link and enter your details, such as tracking number, postal date etc and South Auatralian Post office will e-mail back when it was delivered. I used this when tracking my application and they e-mailed me back the time & date it was signed for.

Good luck

Hi Kathy

We just heard today that our 457 visa has been approved (through Adelaide office)

Our timeline was:

14th Jan - Application submitted online

29th Jan - Xrays for us and medical for our 3-year old

30th Jan - xrays cleared in Adelaide

31st Jan - son's medical cleared in Adelaide

25th Feb - visa approved! yay

Our meds etc were sent electronically so cant help with tracking info, but at least above gives you info of how long it took from start to finish. hope yours all goes speedily! Megan

oh my , i wouldn't advise it as the baby is still forming and they do say not to , i must say however i had x-rays, catscans etc when i was 5 weeks preg but it was not known at the time and i was told after as i was really worried as i had theses done whilst preg that it would have harmed my baby , but was told the risks were very small it is just a precaution they take when you are preg, my daughter was born fine by the way , so i would say no but the desicion is yours, also i dont know if they will actually do it if they know you are preg or not

kind regards

michell
