EmyLee 10 Posted May 27, 2013 I lodged my application for 189 visa on 1st April from the uk and its now past the 8 week allocation period and I've not heard from immi with regards to a case officer being allocated :-( any others in the same boat? Do I contact immi?? was really hoping to hear something as we front loaded all docs so just been waiting doing nothing for 8 weeks! Gareth 666 2,079 Posted May 27, 2013 If you've front loaded all of your docs, including police checks and meds, and there's nothing outstanding on your document check list then there are some posts where CO's have been allocated but have just finalised everything without contacting you as there's no need. I'm not saying that this is certainly the case for you but have you noticed any changes on your document upload list? A lot of the items are listed as 'required' (from memory) but once the CO has been through them they start changing status to 'received'. However in my case the status of my documents changed from recommended to received immediately after I uploaded (except for 2-- form 80 and payslips) . I think it changes to 'met' eventually when a CO goes through them as I have seen on other posts in this forum. Gareth 666 2,079 Posted May 28, 2013 Maybe they've updated the system a bit then since I did mine, I know it was still having issues ironed out last year. I'm pretty sure though that all mine only changed to received when my CO went through it, although that could just be a few 'problem' documents. There are a few that still say recommended but they don't apply to my application! It sound funny but the order in which they appear has moved around a bit?? i just want to know if anyone else is past the allocation times and still not heard and weather they have contacted immi? I've just gone onto do my daly check and all the docs have gone and status just says 'application received'!!!! Help!?!? After 30 mins on hold, I was finally informed that I had a case officer allocated to me 26th April!! Less than 4 weeks after submitting! Anyone else had the same happen? I am assuming as since its been 6 weeks since my case officer allocation, that she does require anything yet? Kellypeachey 19 Posted June 28, 2013 Hi EmyLee, it nice to hear that I am not the only one worrying and getting a bit fustrated, I hoped that we would have been issued the Visa today especially as the new system is being impemented I kind of hoped that they would get all our ones done!!!
