JoannaAch
I dont know what is my agent upto ! He said he'll upload the docs only when a CO is assigned ! Not before it. Lets say you get your Visa by Mid June'13, when are you planning to fly then ? lol I also wanted to upload all docs before CO allocation, as I have seen a few people that got their grants before even being contacted by COs... Ishaan
I also wanted to upload all docs before CO allocation, as I have seen a few people that got their grants before even being contacted by COs... Me too .. But my Agent said that he'll wait for the CO to get assigned first. so that he knows what all to upload and what not .. He's into this business for more than a decade now. He says your case depends from CO to CO ! So waiting for a CO, once we get one, we'll upload our docs then ! Im so confused and worried ! Hey Ishaan, my CO says same. He says once CO is appointed, he'll upload documents as per his/her requirement. It seems our agents share similar philosophy. Guess that makes sense:) I just uploaded every document I had:) If CO asks for additional proof, for example of my marriage, I would need to translate it first:/ So really hoping what I uploaded will be enough... He will surely ask for Marriage Proofs, its better to get them translated beforehand rather to waste time later

JoannaAch
Just got an email from my CO:) asked only for health evidence, ielts for my husband and PCC from one country. Strangely she also asked for certified copy of my skills assessment, no idea why as I have already submitted the colored scan... I am doing my medicals today so very happy to finally get a CO:) I guess the beginning of may applicants will get CO soon now:)

So i think though you have upload colored scan copy CO required to check certified copy.

Last piece of the puzzle was uploaded yesterday and that was the police check. Glad for you, it means you are days away from the visa!!!1 ;-)
familyof4
Can I just ask you guys that have already sent their visa applications off, when you say uploading the documents, does that mean scanning them, and do all of them have to be individually certified or can you put a cover note on from the person certifying that they certify x amount of pages. I am just trying to be 1 step ahead and get the paperwork ready since we are just waiting to hear if the OH has passed his practical assessment. No, you'll need to have all pages certified individually. The Post Office do them, costs you £7 for 3 complete doc's (all pages included). It's pretty painless, I did it over a lunch break...the poor counter agent's hand was almost falling off at the end though! LOL! Good luck! familyof4
Thank you claudiodr, could you just let me know if upload means scanning the documents?
claudiodr
Um, I wanna say yes but I just posted all my doc's to my agent in Sydney and let him work his magic! I'd assume you just scan and upload to SkillSelect...
familyof4
Ok no probs, thank you. I am just one of the many mad ones trying to do it without an agent!
mattybe
only black and white scans/copies need to be certified. Color scans don't according to the immigration website. All mine were colour scans and not certified. I did have to get a load certified for my skill assessment though. familyof4
OK I should probably stop photocopying now. So just to clarify mattybe, if when I scan the documents to the visa application, if they are in colour it does not need to be certified. And if they are black and white scans then they need to be certified. We also had to have over 350 documents certifed for the OH assessment so if we can avoid it the better. The reason for the amount of documents is because the OH is self employed so we have to prove alot through paperwork.

yetimonster
Well that's it, Medicals and Police checks done and all evidence uploaded and submitted. I looked at the link that you sent which is really helpful, but there is no mention of certifing so does this mean I can colour scan everything even a document that is originally black and white without certification. Also I have never discovered how to put the results of each step of the process at the bottom of every message you send. Could you please let me know. I hope it is not staring me in the face!!! :-)
