claudiodr
Hi Claudiodr, Thanks for your guidance. Can you also plz guide with below ? When I see State's website for applying for Nomination only ACT is accepting CSOL occupation, which is Graphic Designer 232411. And they require 7 on each module of IELTS. and currently I have 7 overall. Can I still go ahead and submit EOI and see if any State can Nominate me ? In the mean time I will be appearing for IELTS again for better score. Please help. Regards Akshay Hi Akshay - If ACT is the only state sponsoring I think you might miss the cut off, they have recently posted the updates to their CSOL from 1st July: The following occupations will be closed from 1 July 2013. The closure of these occupations is an interim measure. The demand for each occupation will be reassessed when the 2013-14 Occupation List is finalised. The closure of these occupations will not affect applications lodged before 1 July 2013. claudiodr
I am shattered. Will it help, if I submit EOI before 1st July ? Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news Akshay:-( I'm not sure, you'll have to get State Sponsorship before you submit and you'll need your EILTS test and skills assessment done for the State Sponsorship I think. Either way, keep tyhe faith as the closure of these occupations is only interim and will be reviewed when the occupation list is finalised so may well become available again on July 1st
deryck
Hi - I believe that just because your gf's mom is from England doesn't automatically make her a UK citizen, she is only eligible for citizenship. I've read through the form and think you only have to mention it in Q14...but I'm not an expert so maybe seek confirmation. Where did you read that? I mena the fact that She s only eligible. Anyway...thank you very much!

Yes, I hope it opens from 1st July. State NT also accepts applications for my occupation, however I don't find many jobs over there. Getting job would be difficult if I apply for that state. Thanks for your help. Good Day !!!
Maggie2012
Can we have more updates about the 190 Lodgements in May? There is o update in our case the last we heard from the CO was on 20/05/13.
Maggie2012
Just got an email from my CO:) asked only for health evidence, ielts for my husband and PCC from one country. Strangely she also asked for certified copy of my skills assessment, no idea why as I have already submitted the colored scan... I am doing my medicals today so very happy to finally get a CO:) I guess the beginning of may applicants will get CO soon now:) Hi! Did you guys hear anything yet? We have not heard from our CO since first contact on 20/05/13. It is getting a bit frustrating since so many people who applied after us got their visas already. Where are you guys going anyways? We are going to ACT but we hoped to get there before elections and school start in September. Not sure it will happen now :-(

Exactly 2months after application and 2 weeks after submitting the last requested document (partners ielts)! Very very happy! We are going to Melbourne, probably by the end of 2013. i am sure you will get your visas in no time now, they are processing everything ver fast now - my case was reviewed by MOC but still got the grant fast. Good luck!

We are due to go to Canberra, but if we get the grant at the wrong time September/October, we may end up going to Melbourne as well first to stay with friends for a few months. Not sure on the 2nd part of your question but if you have 5 years of work experience, atleast comparable Bachelors and meet the eligibility criteria then you have very good chances of nomination. saqlain77us
Thank YOU Mirwais. actually i am worried because my 1.5 years part time experience was before graduation and 4.6 years after graduation. I dont think it will be a big problem as ACS approved my assessment with 5 years. i am planning to apply NSW statesponsership and may be it takes 4-5 months. in meantime i will achieve 5 years full time job experience which will helpful for visa application as sometime DIAC said that they only consider job experience after graduation. Please suggest me .....

JoannaAch
Thanks so much guys! Maggie - My CO emailed my smt like "The MOC is reviewing your medical case" and then she asked me to submit all documents so that she can prioritize my case - and after 2 weeks I got the grant. I think it does not take much time for the referral cases anymore...

tayloal
Well there is nothing more I can do now. Another whirl wind day or so. Phoned to book medicals yesterday and managed to get a cancellation appointment for this afternoon and have just got back now, everything went well. I also enquired about my Police check certificate yesterday because it seemed to be taking a hell of a long time, got a reply saying it was dispatched 12 June !!!! I went to my local post sorting office and managed to rescue the certificate and have now sent this onto my agent. Just a waiting game now for my grant now (obviously all being well with the meds) :err:
