What dose "ABN" mean?

Im looking at jobs ads, and I notice that quite alot in construction and other jobs say in the description "ABN required"

SO what is it?? and also I notice "HR" &/or "MR"??

Australian Business Number. In the context of a job ad, it means that you are expected to be self-employed and not on the construction companies payroll.
