helepele Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Hello from Cov. I have been granted permanent residency (took nearly 5 years ) and we are emigrating at the end of July. Myself and husband are emigrating at the end of July to the Hunter Valley region staying initially with family before we look for work. I am a primary school teacher with 15 years experience I was just wondering what the job situation is like currently. I am waiting for my nsw registration to come through and would love a job to go to when we arrive if possible. Just saying hello to anyone in similar situation to us be nice to chat. X:biggrin:
Del70 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Hello! Everyone on here talking about teaching says that it is extremely difficult to get teaching jobs, especially Primary School....... We are both Primary School teachers looking to emigrate, but are having to go down the State Sponsorship route. Seems like we'll have to do relief teaching to begin with (supply teaching). We did a Teacher Exchange to NSW a couple of years ago, which was an amazing experience, and found primary school teaching similar to here in the UK, but not totally the same. Good luck with everything, and let us know how you get on!
