Incata Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Does anyone know anywhere in Perth (preferably north of the river) which sells sausagemeat? I want to make my own sausage rolls but can't find any anywhere. I may have to resort to skinning sausages and doing it that way but I am really not keen on doing that if there is an alternative. Thanks
boganbear Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 A specialist butcher should be able to make some for you. It might be a bit more exensive than the supermarkets but will be tastier
huggesy Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 you might find it easier to make it yourself, grind some pork shoulder or try with pork mince first, add some rice flour and iced water and herbs and it is as good as buying. There is a certain ratio which I haven't got to hand but works a treat when I make sausages or sausage rolls
moirclan Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 i buy mine from beaumaris iga , or woolies at currembine
clairebowyer Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Woolworths and Coles sell it. I made some sausage rolls the other day. Its normally by the mince meat section - it is beef sausage meat though rather than pork but it did make nice sausage rolls
dmjg Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Just ask any butcher. They will have heaps waiting to be filled. It's cheaper than sausages too as they don't have the work of filling the cases. If they didn't have any I would be wondering about their skills as a butcher. Is someone else doing all the work and are they just a retail outlet?
