littlem 486 Posted April 17, 2013 Hi, has anyone recently applied for their 887 perm visa after being on 475 provisional? Just wondered how long it took to be approved, was it straightforward and if there is anything to expect that we might not be prepared for. thanks Michelle Michelle, John, Charlie, Ashley Visa lodged 27/11/09 C/O 23/3 4/4/11 meds 14/4/11 VISA GRANTED ! rajne 10 Posted April 20, 2013 Hi Michelle, I have applied for 887 visa on 26 Feb 2013 and still waiting. immi seems to have a backlog with the 887 Visa processing.. 4 to 6 months is the current waiting times ..!! it used to be 1 to 2 weeks processing last yr this time .. But immi seems to be processing priority group 5 now ... which seems to put a halt on the other visas
Flowersdownunder 10 Posted April 24, 2013 We arrived two years ago in August and we will be applying for our 887 visa then. Having fulfilled the conditions of the 475 visa to live and work regionally for 2 years, do we have to wait for the 887 visa to be granted before we could live and work in Perth? We don't want to do anything to jeopardise the PR we have waited so long for. Good to know there are others at the same stage of the process as us.

Flowersdownunder 10 Posted April 24, 2013 We did the 475 application ourselves so this one should be okay I guess. It seems to be a straight forward online application. We have been careful and kept absolutely everything relating to address, work etc. Can't wait, it will be a big weight off our minds. Hopefully we're not being naive about the 887 visa. Please let me know if you hear any advice or horror stories so I can prepare myself!

Flowersdownunder 10 Posted August 8, 2013 Not sure 100% but think that holidays are fine. Does anyone know which AFP clearance you need to apply for with the 887 visa. With fingerprint check, or without?
