Elaine Cunningham 10 Posted March 3, 2013 Hey guys I'm hoping someone can help me as I'm slightly confused! My hubby and I are wanting to start the visa process asap but am unsure where to start. Should I apply through TRA for the skills assessment (hubby is a joiner) which costs $300 or should I be doing the online app for $600 through Vetassess? I've been given conflicting information from a migration agent! Thanks
jacki B 10 Posted May 17, 2013 Hi there, New poster on this site, we are applying for the 190 skilled migration. We are doing the whole applicat5ion ourselves (sort of wondering WHY ON EARTH we decided to do this!) My Husband is applying under the 342313 electrical tradesworker occupation from the sol list. We have filled out the initial tradeassess and then the vetassess form online and now have started looking at all the documentation required. We have all the wage slips, employee references, photo and video evidence, certificates etc, but we came accross this item on the vetassess website that has us worried: http://download.vetassess.com.au/forms/trade_assessment/Training_employment_evidence_guide.pdf?id=170520130425AM It asks you to use cover sheets, labelling systems and all sorts of complex ways to sort the documentation out. Did you all have to do this too, and can anyone give us some extra guidance on this ? We now have 28 days to organise the documents in this format and then courier them to vetassess. In all honesty, I think my husband completed the online vetassess form slightly too soon, due to his eagerness to get the process started, but now I am worried as different areas of vetassess say different things on what / how to supply the documents. I know they all have to be certificed copies - that is sorted, and I know they ask for the paperwork not to be stapled and not to be in presentation folders.... :chatterbox:Any advice would be much appreciated. Regards 'Poms that want to be in Oz' All the best, PomsInOz Forum
sharmaabhi 10 Posted May 26, 2013 Hello everyone! I am applying for skills assessment to Vetassess. I would be really greatfull if anyone can guide me on following points: 1. How to attest the passport size photos (2 Nos.) with all of the below details as the size of photo is very small. How to write all details on it. "'This is a true likeness of [candidate’s full name]', the certifier’s details and the certifier’s signature". 2. How to attach the documents in the file to be submitted to Vetassess as the documents and photos should not be stappeled or binded with each other.
Kezzles 39 Posted May 27, 2013 Hi I'm currently applying for skills assessment through vetassess for HR ADvisor but not sure if I should apply for HR Manager through AIM? I want to apply for SS for Victoria as they are accepting HR managers. Help anyone which one? Does it matter which assessment I get?
Maggie2012 15 Posted May 27, 2013 Hi All, as for VETASSESS, we needed to mail to OZ all the certified copies to all documents. I believe you have 60 days to send off all the paperwork. You'll need all the credits as well. Submit everything you can. They'll let you know if you need anything more. Communication was great from them. Be sure to have your diploma and work experience evaluated at the same time. Good luck, you'll be fine :-) PS. It took us some 6 months to get the assessment done.
