HOW TO: find if University course is relevant as per "Country Education Profiles -AEI - NOOSA"

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

As the title suggest, what is the process to find if University course is relevant as per "Country Education Profiles -AEI - NOOSA" - WITHOUT PAYING?

Is there a document or link which gives you a list of the University and course which is considered relevant?

I have a Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A) from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, India.

Cheers,

Kubby

Hi

Not sure exactly what info you require but

Indian Higher Education providers are broken down into 3 sections in the CEP. Section1 - 'Very Good Institutions', Section 2 - 'Good Institutions' & Section 3 - 'Satisfactory Institutions.

Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut falls under Section 2 (Good Institutions)

wow...Thanks a ton, Cerberus! thanks alot !!

I am after this information as I have to submit my EOI in next couple of days.

Here is another thread that I started around this:

http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/176643-eoi-help-claiming-education-points.html

Not to waste your time...my work experience and IT certifications have been accessed by ACS. But my Bachelors of Business Administration has not been accessed by them.

My Agent told me that even though they have not accessed my degree, I can still claim the 15 points for my bachelors. After talking to people of POMSINOZ and doing some research I have confirmed that. I came to know the following:

"In instances where neither the relevant assessing authority nor VETASSESS has provided an opinion on an applicant’s qualifications, case officers must assess the qualification claims presented by the applicant. In such scenarios case officers should take into consideration any relevant information that is available to them, including information available on Country Education Profiles, advice from AEI - NOOSA and any other relevant evidence provided by the applicant."

And this is the whole reason I am after this information.

Can you please provide your opinion on:

1. Am I good to submit my EOI with my Bachelors from Ch. Charan Singh university without getting it accessed by any australian authority? Please keep in mind my work exp has already been successfully accessed by ACS.

2. Instead of me asking you questions, can you please share the link from where you got the information you provided. I will go through the complete website.

Thanks again for all your help. I really appreciate it !!

Cheers,

Kubby

Alright JoannaAch, I have the answer to your question(my second question).

Unfortunately you will have to pay to get the access to the information. I paid $50 for CEP information access for India. You can make purchase for your individual country.

Here is the link:

https://aei.gov.au/cep/Pages/default.aspx

Ping me if you need any help.

Cerberus:I will still wait for your answer on my 1st question. Thanks again for your kind guidance.

A CEP listing is an opinion (usually taken as conclusive) about of the comparability of an academic qualification cf. an Australian qualification and does not address the issue of whether a qualification is 'relevant' for any given purpose.

Thanks alot for your help on this, Westly.

After all the research :) ... i will go ahead and apply for EOI claiming 15 points for my Bachelors.

Thanks,

Kuber

this is regarding my cousin. she has done bachelor of arts 2 years pass course in 1995 from Bangabasi College in second division. I have told her to order CEP also, if it is useful. Is it possible for you to paste some sample of CEP so as to get an idea whether it will be actually of some use?

thanks

I have one more query. As her degree will only be considered as an associate degree, she has also done MBA from Sikkim Manipal University. If it is not very inconvenient plz check if her MBA will satisfy the requirement of atleast bachelor degree.

Any news on progress for your EOI Kubby?

I have a similar situation but from the uK. I have a degree but not the work experience required for visa application. So I want to know if I can still take the points for the degree but use my previous career as skilled occupation...

Finger's crossed you hear soon!

Hi Kubby / wrussell,

I am probably too late in posting to this thread, but any help is appreciated

I have been assessed positively by VETASSESS for a Group C occupation. However VETASSESS does not explicitly mention on the skills assessment that my qualification is equivalent to Bachelors / Masters etc.

I have a Bachelor and a Master degree both from Section 1 Institutions of the CEP NOOSA which means they are recognised at face value.

Do you think I need to get a qualification Points test advice from VETASSESS or can I directly go ahead and claim 15 points for my qualification.

It's never too late !

My Bachelors degree was not accessed by ACS but I still claimed 15 points for that. As stated in this thread.. my degree was in section 1 of CEP.

You can also do the same and claim 15 points for your degree without any VETASSESS assessment.

Best of luck !
