There is no problem with you being in France...your CO can contact you by email. As far as DIAC are concerned, there are two places in the world...Australia and everywhere else. For the 309 visa you need to be out of Australia when it is granted. They don't actually care where you are in the world, just as long as you aren't in Australia. Tulip Posted August 21, 2013 Share Posted August 21, 2013 I just got my letter asking me to depart Australia for grant...it just specifies you're offshore, and that if you're on a cruise you need to double check with them as not all cruises count as offshore.
