scotexpat
Clare. School nursing is a post that rarely come around. simply they are the jobs that every nurse would love. Family friendly hours in a hospital is a hard one. you could contact rebecca@choiceone.com.au for assistance on the temp side of things when you come over. It is worth noting that the company i work with has been awarded the contract for nursing in the new Fiona Stanley hospital in Perth. Have a look online (its huge in scale the largest hospital in Australia) they will be recruiting in the next month or so. If you are to be in with a chance we need to get a move on. jac2011
Hi David, Im currently a 2nd year MH nurse and have been planning to move to Oz for 5 years now. Id love to start as soon as I qualify in September 2014 but Im aware at how difficult that would be. Would you recommend applying for Graduate roles instead? What would be the least experience you would be looking for in order to help find me a role? I would be willing to apply for my own visa. Thanks
skimmerbhoy
Any work for a scrub nurse with nitu experience as well 12 yrs experience looking at perth in about November currently about to apply for nursing reg
scotexpat
Denise... you are still able to apply for state sponsorship. You should give that ago it can be costly 3000GBP in total. This will allow you to migrate easily. With a 457 it is down to the employer but i've found more and more that 457 visa's are hard to get. scotexpat
Mental health nurses are in high demand is Australia. There is a lot of mental health issues in Australia both inpatients and day care. You can apply via skill select on www.immi.gov.au. the website is helpful
scotexpat
skimmerboy. Get your AHPRA First. This way you know where you stand and you will have had a positive skills assessment. In perth with the new FS Hospital oopening up you shouldn't have problems. However i currently have a post in NSW that is open to you. My client is offering to pay for 457 sponsorship and relocation costs from the UK.

GlennNatty
Hello Scot, i'm just making general inquiries really regarding your e-mail, my wife has been a Staff Nurse for the past 10 years. The first 7 years she specialized in HDU/ITU and for the past 3 years she has been a complex care co-ordinator for spinal injuries in the community and just wondered if she would fit your criteria for any possible nursing positions. She is 35 years old. Glenn
kylel39
Hello Scot, My girlfriend and I are planning on making the move also. She is a nurse and is coming up for 2 years post grad in June. She's worked in specialist services and also rehab work. She is currently surgical in an ENT ward and surgical being the type of work she enjoys. We are planning on coming over on a WHV for a few reasons, so ideally she would be looking for sponsorship. Is this something you could assist with? Thanks, Kyle
