Simon87
Hi there, I'm a 25 year old lad from Manchester and I met my girlfriend early on in my 2nd year WHV. She's Australian and I brought her back to meet my family and we've been here now for 5 months and we have booked our flights back to Brisbane for Feb 6th. We are eventually going to get a Partner Visa (Defacto) but I'm struggling with what visa to get. We've been together for well over a year and would apply for it immediatly but neither of us have the money as of yet. What visa do I get to enter Australia? I have left over $1200 in my Aussie bank account but there is less than 500pound in my English account. Obviously I want to stay for longer than 3 months but I can't provide financial evidence that I can support myself for more than 3 months, but I will be getting some money from relatives via Western Union while I'm over there and I will be staying with her parents. And I can't work on a tourist visa. And I want a visa that will give me 'Further Stay'.. Any advice would be great! Thanks Simon
lebourvellec
Have you been living together? How long you been together in defacto relationship ? you need to show that you have been living together for 12 months for the defacto visa.
Simon87
We were living together in Melbourne for 8 months and been living in Manchester for 5 months. We've been together since December '10. We are legit and have all the evidence we need. We just don't have the money right now to apply for it. Plus I don't think I can enter on a Partner Visa, I'd have to wait until its been processed which could take about 8 months?
lebourvellec
Onshore applications are more expensive now cost $4000. The only problem with going back on a tourist visa is that you have spent 2 years in Australia and only 5 months out it maybe difficult to get a tourist visa.
