To be eligible for 186 (permanent visa) immi website states that worker needs to work 2 years with the Employer. Before 457 visa granted, I already worked with the Company for nearly 1.7 years. My query is, does that period count to be eligible for 186 visa or I have to wait further 2 years? Any comment, suggestion or previous experience will be appreciated. Spherian Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Pretty sure its the time that you have spent on the 457 with that employer, that way Immigration know that you have 100% been working for them long enough to waiver the requirment for a skills assessment.
